Reservoir Dogs and Film Noir

The film noir is about the grim tale that focuses on crime and criminals, the film Reservoir Dogs contain many aspects of film noir. Reservoir Dogs is about a robbery from a well-executed heist to a disaster. The film opens with introducing all the main characters after which the film continues with a scene of the robbery ending in a disaster. One of the characters has been shot and the rest of the team no-where to be found. It creates the mystery as to what has happen and what is everyone doing. It also creates distrust among the group as to who may be trusted and what are everyone’s true motives in the heist. People are missing and everyone has a story to share as to what has happened and alos there is a police office within them, and most importantly their loot. Nobody can be trusted and causes much friction among the group, creating more a dark theme that grows more as the film continues. There is no hero as everyone is cynical and they are only there to watch for themselves. The dark theme makes itself potent when one character’s credibility is questioned and the other tortures him by dismembering his ear carelessly. The distrust grows to the point where everyone is pointing guns at each other and everyone is faced with death. The film’s ending is far from a good ending as everyone’s distrust for one another leads to their each own doom, the police office was conniving  and forcing people to point fingers at one another and used that to his advantage but also lead to his own death
